G8 Education Limited increases dividend by 28.5%

G8 Education today made the following announcement to the ASX:

G8 Education Limited is pleased to announce that it has increased its dividend from the equivalent of 14 cents per share per annum to 18 cents per share per annum. Dividends are paid quarterly and as a consequence, the quarterly dividend will increase from 3.5 cents per share to 4.5 cents per share, fully franked.

Payment of the higher interim dividend will commence from the next quarterly dividend, due to be paid to shareholders in July 2014, for the quarter ending 30 June 2014. G8 Education Limited Managing Director, Chris Scott, said: “We are pleased to announce this increase in the quarterly dividend from 3.5 cents per share to 4.5 cents per share, fully franked.  G8 Education Limited continues to be well positioned for the 2014 financial year and into the 2015 financial year. This increase reflects the strong performance of our operations.”
